Born February 21, 1994 in Tokyo, Japan. Height 183cm.
He is the first Japanese swimmer to hold the 47-second freestyle record and is a leading sprinter in the Japanese swimming world.
He began swimming at an early age and distinguished himself in high school. After entering university, she made rapid progress and became a member of Japan's national team.
At the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics, he became the first Japanese swimmer to break the 47-second mark, making his name known around the world.
He continued to break Japanese records one after another, setting the current Japanese record of 47.87 seconds in 2018.
After the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, he is currently working as a professional swimmer with the goal of winning a medal at the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.
